Rajnikanth and Dhanush have received the legal summons to appear before the Madras High Court in the case plagiarism and story theft, regarding the movie, Kaala Karikalan. The writer K. Rajeshkaran alleged that the story of the movie belongs to him and he had registered long time ago.
Wunderbar films that belongs to Dhanush the producer of the movie, replied to his initial petition in the Chennai Civil Court, that the story and screenplay are written by Pa. Ranjith the director. They countered the argument saying that the writer and director of the movie, never met the writer in the question and hence, there is no case for plagiarism.
Now, the writer has moved to Madras High Court, as advised by the Civil Court and the summons have been served to both Rajnikanth and Dhanush to answer for the queries of the writer, before 12th February. The movie, Kaala is said to be the story of a person who fights the racism against the Tamils in Mumbai. Let’s wait and see, what the answer of the team will be.
