Jr. NTR has been listed as a tax defaulter in regards to the service tax payable for the remuneration he received for his movie, Nannaku Prematho. Jr. NTR clarified that he did not receive any communication from the authorities about being a defaulter and if and when he receives communication he will abide by the law and pay off every penny. “Nannaku Prematho was shot in 2015 and I received money in the form of foreign currency as the movie is shot in London, UK. The transaction done in Foreign exchange is not applicable to Service Tax is the advice given to me. So I did not pay”, said Tarak.

In the reports released by CAG, Ae Dil Hein Mushkil actors Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma are also added to the list with Jr. NTR. The reports claimed he needs to pay more than 1.19 crores in service tax. Jr. NTR said, “Normally I ask producers to pay the money and take the remaining of my remuneration after paying all the applicable taxes. Never I had any issues. Even in 2016, the department asked me for a formal reply and I contacted my lawyer. We gave a reply back then.

” After that there is no communication from the authorities and whenever they confirm that I should pay, I will immediately play the amount. I am a law abiding citizen and I would love to be one forever.” Tarak is now busy in Pune with Jai Lava Kusa and Bigg Boss shoots.
