Jr.NTR or Allu Arjun to be featured as the lead in ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama

A recent rumor indicates that Allu Arjun or Jr. NTR is being considered by the producers for The Immortal Ashwatthama, after reports of Ranveer Singh’s involvement.

Following news of Vicky Kaushal’s departure from the project, the eagerly anticipated science fiction movie The Immortal Ashwatthama is currently the talk of the town in Hollywood. Ronnie Screwvala was originally going to finance the expensive movie, which was first revealed in 2021 with the Uri star. However, due to financial constraints, it was shortly shelved. Ranveer Singh’s name for the project started to circulate recently, but a new source indicates that the producers are leaning toward the South industry and considering either Jr NTR or Allu Arjun.

The mythological sci-fi movie’s producers have been unsure whether it will ever reach theatres ever since it was first revealed. However, due to the project’s enormous expenditure, Ronnie soon departed, leaving director Aditya Dhar to fulfill his goal alone.

Jio Studios apparently came up to support the film as the director reportedly did not give up hope. Vicky Kaushal supposedly left the film earlier this year, prompting everyone to speculate about who might play the movie’s leading man. A recent report indicates that the allegations are untrue as Ranveer Singh’s involvement in the project started to get attention.

Ranveer Singh won’t be playing the protagonist in the upcoming film, according to a report. Instead, the producers are on the lookout for skilled actors from the South. Allu Arjun and Jr. NTR are vying for the part, according to the same report. Furthermore, although it hasn’t been formally revealed, there have been rumors of Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s involvement in the project.

The most anticipated movie of Allu Arjun’s career, Pushpa 2: The Rule, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna, is now in production. The film would act as a prequel to their smash movie Pushpa: The Rise from 2021. For his role in SS Rajamouli’s epic RRR, Jr. NTR, on the other hand, recently gained hearts. Naatu Naatu, a song from the film, won an Oscar as well.
