John Abraham On Minority Safety: “I’ve Always Felt Safe In India”

When asked about the statement “Minorities are not safe in India,” Bollywood actor John Abraham shared his personal experience. He said that despite coming from a diverse background, he has never felt unsafe in the country.

John, who is currently promoting his film The Diplomat, takes great pride in being Indian both on and off-screen. In an exclusive interview, he spoke about religion, politics, and being an atheist.

Responding to the debate he said “Some might say I feel safe because I’m an actor, but I am a minority. My mother is a Zoroastrian, and my father is a Syrian Christian. Yet, I have always felt completely safe in India”.

He added, “I love my country and feel secure here. Some people use this issue as an argument, but I am living proof that minorities can feel safe. Maybe I come from a community that no one has a problem with who would have an issue with Parsis?”

He emphasized that his personal experience reflects his deep love for the country and the sense of security he has always felt as an Indian.

“I am a minority from both sides, and I have never felt safer than in my country. I love my country.” –@TheJohnAbraham in conversation with @navikakumar#TheDiplomat #JohnAbraham pic.twitter.com/pDEFn6Pn5E
