Aadi Sai Kumar is struggling hard to find a hit in his career. His new film Jodi has been delayed for three years and has somehow made its way to the cinema halls. Read on to see how it turns out to be.
Story : Kapil played by Aadi is a well educated employee whose father is a cricket betting addict. Because of this, Kapil gets into a huge problem with the girl he loves which is played by Shraddha Srinath. The entire story and people get stuck because of Kapil’s dad. The crux of the story is as to how Kapil sets things right with his dad and settles his love story.
Performances : Gollapudi Maruthi Rao gets a good role and brings a warmth to the proceedings. Shraddha Srinath is the best of the lot and looks quite refreshing in the girl next door look. She is very cute in the songs.
Aadi Sai Kumar is also okay but needs to improve on his body language. Vennela Kishore’s role is hugely disappointing. Comedian Satya evokes a few laughs. Naresh was good as the betting addicted guy.
Plus
Shraddha Srinath
Gollapudi
Minus
Predictable story
Uneven narration
Forced emotions
Logics
Analysis : Family dramas only click when they have good and solid emotions. But here in this case of Jodi, they do not work one bit and look forced most of the time. Too many family scenes are induced at regular intervals that they make no sense at all to the audience.
The narration is quite wayward in the first place as the audience never gets connected to the storyline. The second half gets on to your nerves as the film becomes so pale that you dont understand why some of the scenes are even being showcased.
The romance looks fresh but that fades away after a while. There is nothing that this film promises and Aadi needs to think before selecting such films as subjects like these will never take him high in his career.
