Harish Shankar after two years of gap, has decided to start his movie, it seems. The writer-director decided to remake Jigarthanda directed by Subburaj who is now making, Petta with Rajnikanth, slated for Pongal release.
Harish Shankar decided to rope in Varun Tej and Rashmika Mandanna for the remake. He prepared the script in his own vision for the Telugu audiences, it seems.
Varun Tej is a big fan of the original and he immediately accepted to act in the remake it seems. Rashmika after three good films at the box office, wanted a different role and hence, she will be seen in this film as a shoplifter.
The movie shoot will start in February after Varun completes a short trip to a holiday destination to rejuvenate after two back to back films – Anthariksham and F2.
