Yesteryear actress and famous politician, Jayapradha talked about ongoing #MeToo movement at a private event in Hyderabad on 10th November. She is in the town for an event that is related to a film company which had ties with her for a long time.
She said, “I heard about the movement and my sympathies are with the woman who has been facing such exploitation and abuse. A strict action should be taken to support them as it is been happening for many years, by their stories.
I request the government to constitute a committee that will take care off all these complaints and clean up the Industry from all the serial abusers. I would also like to see that the committee looking at the stories from a positive angle and also see that women also just don’t abuse the soft corner that normally people have for them.”
She also talked about making a comeback into the films. She said, “I am indeed interested in acting and I hope, actors are not uncomfortable to accept me in their films. There will be preferences for different actors and I respect that. But I would like to act with many of them or all of them if I get a chance.”
