The shooting for hero Vijay Deverakonda and director Puri Jagannadh’s most awaited movie, Liger, was stalled in April due to the Covid crisis. Liger is a pan-India project and planned to release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages simultaneously.
Meanwhile, the latest we hear from digital sources is that one of the leading OTT platforms has offered a massive of Rs 200 crore to snap the film’s digital and satellite rights. However, there is no clarity on which channel has come forward to bag the film rights. If the news turns into reality eventually, Will the makers tempt for the jaw-dropping deal and tilt towards the online release of the movie? Remains to be seen.
While Charmme in association with Puri Jagannadh is bankrolling Liger, Bollywood filmmakers Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta are co-producing the movie’s Hindi version.
