Jason Momoa Rumours Cleared: Rana Daggubati Finalized

As excitement grows for Baahubali: The Epic and its enhanced big-screen experience so producer Shobu Yarlagadda spoke about the rumours linking Jason Momoa to the role of Bhallaladeva.

In an interview he clarified that “The idea of Jason Momoa playing Bhallaladeva came up and we did try to approach him”.

“We reached out to his agent and shared the script”. However things eventually worked out with Rana Daggubati, who was finalized for the role.

Shobu added that while they did make an effort to contact Jason the decision to cast Rana turned out to be the right one.

The producer’s comments put an end to long-standing speculation, confirming that the role of Bhallaladeva always had Rana in mind as the final choice.
