Janhvi Kapoor is facing social media criticism after her comments about the working style of South Indian cinema sparked controversy.
During her appearance on Koffee with Karan, she spoke about the criticism of her role in Ram Charan’s Peddi.
She said bound scripts are rarely available and actors do not always get to see camera angles in advance. Her remarks upset Telugu audiences, who questioned her generalisation of the entire South Indian film industry.
Many pointed out that Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam films follow different working styles.
Some users also questioned why she did not speak specifically about her experience with Peddi while others accused her of blaming the filmmaking process.
