Junior Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao, Tarak, after many years was able to hit the bulls eye really strong and the repercussions are hear to stay. He managed to score a big blockbuster with Janatha Garage after 13 years, since Simhadri and the film even got a record rating for its TV Debut screening as well. Going into the details…
This year for Telugu Film Industry has been highly mixed bag with big hero big budget films tanking except for Nannaku Prematho, Soggade Chinni Nayana, Oopiri, Sarrainodu and Janatha Garage. The losses by other films are almost so high that Industry required a big movie to work big time after the Summer season, since, Sarrainodu. At the right time, Janatha Garage clicked for the audience and Industry.
Koratala Siva, turned into a successful director who managed to secure three blockbusters with his first three films. A rare feet that not even greats and contemporary mega successful directors weren’t able to achieve. SS Rajamouli comes close with Student No.1 super hit, Simhadri Blockbuster and Sye being a moderate success. Even Trivikram Srinivas, gave three successes with his first three films as director, Nuvve Nuvve, Athadu and Jalsa. But except for Nuvve Nuvve rest two films even though successful and now closely watched by many whenever they are screened on TV, they are not considered as blockbusters. So, only Koratala Siva was able manage to give Mirchi, Srimanthudu and Janatha Garage. The last two films are the all time highest grossers behind Bahubali.
The ratings for the 43rd week were released today, and Janatha Garage that was telecasted on Sunday 23rd October on StarMaa Television managed to secure a record rating of 20.91 and topped the charts like no other film of Jr. NTR. It is behind Magadheera and Bahubali in all time list since the release of Magadheera. Mohan Lal, Nitya Menen, Samantha Ruth Prabhu also shared the screen with NTR and the whole team lead to this tremendous achievement.
