JanaSena party has been the talk of the town with Pawan Kalyan trying to correct all the mistakes committed by his brother Chiranjeevi’s political entry symbol, Praja Rajyam Party. PRP became a sensation in the way it conducted election campaign and in some or other way it stayed in the news. The party was predicted to be a runaway success but it failed miserably in capturing the anti-incumbancy vote. With many senior members advising the dissolve the party, Chiranjeevi took a step to join Congress after the demise of Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy.
Since then, Pawan Kalyan stayed from political lime light till 2014 elections and even though his aggressive step created a rift within the family, he came out and announced his own party, Jana Sena. He coined it as a moment for people by people rather than a Politically Ambitious Power Hungry party. Keeping his word, he supported Telugu Desam Party and BJP in the general elections. After two years, with Modi government going back on the Special Status issue, Pawan Kalyan came out of his hibernation and started asking questions and conducting a movement with students for the change in stance of Central Government.
In three years, the party has become more popular by talking about several issues and Uddanam Kidney problem has become it’s most successfully handled issue. With more and more looking at Jana Sena and Pawan Kalyan to bring focus on their issues, Pawan Kalyan started a party online portal where young people can go and give their feedback on issues within 2500 words. In the launch press meet, Pawan explained that he wishes the party to be more idealistic with young people taking the leadership and old people helping them with their experience. He concluded by saying, “Jana Sena will be a youth oriented party with a forward approach and by next year, March we will build our party at grass root level as well in both the states. We have a good base of young workers ready to work for party and now, we need leaders who can travel with them in accordance to the party ideology and constitution.” He further answered several questions and rebuked a situation where he and his brother can work together politically.
