Jana Nayagan has completed its CBFC re-certification process after making a few changes suggested by the censor board.
The film which received an ‘A’ certificate last week, now has a final runtime of 3 hours, 3 minutes and 52 seconds with 41 seconds of additional footage added.
The movie was first submitted for certification in December 2025 but political references and a few scenes caused several delays.
The makers also approached the court before agreeing to the required edits. During the delay, parts of the film and a high-definition copy were leaked online.
With the censor process finally complete, the team is expected to announce the release date soon, with July 24 likely to be the target.
