2020 was the worst year that Tollywood ever witnessed. However, 2021 has seen some positivity early in the months. Sankranthi has been the real positive factor for the movies. Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s Krack has opened doors for the comeback. Krack has been a gigantic hit. It has grossed over 30 Crores. With 50 percent capacity, it is such a phenomenal success.
Vijay’s Master, despite the talk, has managed to bring cheers for the distributors and exhibitors. It was a profitable venture. Ram’s Red has been mixed reviews as well. However, the film managed to bring in massive openings. With the talk, Red has failed to sustain the collections and ended up as average grosser.
Bellamkonda Srinivas’s Alludu Adhurs was an outright flop, so is Allari Naresh’s Bangaru Bullodu. Pradeep Machiraju’s 30 Rojullo Preminchadam Ela has got mixed openings as well but the openings are good, thanks to the chartbuster song Neeli Neeli Aakasham.
Overall, January has been the month of hope for Tollywood. It proved the fact that the audiences are willing to come to the theaters.
