Jailer 2 Release Date Officially Announced

Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 is officially set to release in theatres worldwide on October 15th 2026, during the Dasara festival season.

Sun Pictures announced the date with a special promo that has created excitement among fans. The video opens with Vinayakan’s character, Varman, warning that Tiger Muthuvel Pandian’s fight is far from over.

Rajinikanth returns as the retired police officer but his face is shown only in shadows adding mystery to the promo.

A mysterious woman and several new characters also make brief appearances. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar while the sequel features music by Anirudh.

Jailer 2 also brings back Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu and other familiar faces from the blockbuster Jailer, raising expectations even higher.
