Jaideep Ahlawat Opens Up on Box Office Failure of An Action Hero

An Action Hero’s box office flop was discussed by Jaideep Ahlawat in detail, and he said he was unable to figure out what went wrong.

Jaideep Ahlawat, an actor, has distinguished himself in the field with his extraordinary talent. He has demonstrated as an artist that it is more important to play your part with enthusiasm than it is to have a lot of screen time in a movie with films like Raazi, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, and over-the-top anthologies like Lust Tales. He most recently appeared in the poorly received Ayushmann Khurrana-led film An Action Hero. He recently discussed it and expressed his feelings on it.

Jaideep is one of the most talented performers we now have in Bollywood and has a long list of successful ventures under his belt. He is prepared to take on the role of Hawkeye in Audible’s Indian adaptation of The Wastelanders. Notably, Jeremy Renner portrays the superhero in the MCU movies. He recently discussed his movie An Action Hero and shared how he felt when the crowd didn’t respond favourably to it.

During an interview , Jaideep Ahlawat was asked if he thinks the film An Action Hero didn’t get its due credit in its theatrical run, the actor said, “Yes, I definitely feel that. I feel a little bad for Anirudh also, he is a first-time director and he is an amazing filmmaker and an amazing human being. So I felt a little bad for him, the film also, and for me, I felt yeh galat hai.”

While discussing the movie, the actor also admitted that he was disappointed that people saw it online but not in theatres. “And then, when the movie appeared on OTT, everyone watched it and liked it,” said Jaideep Ahlawat. I was also enraged. After seeing it on OTT, some people afterwards expressed their regret at not seeing the movie in a theatre.

He further added, “I haven’t come across anyone who said yeh kya bakwaas film hai. It feels weird. I was like yeh samjh nhi aya aisa kyun hua. It was a complete Bollywood masala with so many things in it. There were so many factors in it, so many little social issues were addressed in the film. We told the story in a good way, but it showed yeh sab aapke aas pass ho raha hai.”

The Wastelanders will soon be available on Audible, an online provider of podcasts and audiobooks. Together with other actors, it will have Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan.
