As a rude shock to the Telugu film industry makers, distributors and exhibitors, this afternoon a new GO came out from the AP state government.
As per the circular, the state government will be selling the movie tickets via the central government owned Railways portal IRCTC. As per the GO, the state government will fix the ticket rates for the films releasing across the state in single screens and multiplexes.
If the same comes into existence, then the filmmakers have nothing much to do except for producing the film and sell it to the minimal price to the distributors across Andhra Pradesh. While many filmmakers are expecting a hike in the ticket prices permission from AP CM, this GO from Jagan’s government comes an unexpected scenario for the Telugu film industry bigwigs.
