Jacqueline Fernandez submitted an application stating that she needed to travel to Abu Dhabi in order to attend the IIFA Awards.
Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez, who is one of the defendants in the Rs 200 crore money extortion case involving conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar, was granted permission by a Delhi court on Tuesday to travel overseas from May 25 to June 12.
Jacqueline submitted an application stating that she would need to travel to Milan from May 28 to June 12 in order to film a movie and to Abu Dhabi from May 25 to May 27 in order to attend the IIFA Awards.
Jacqueline Fernandez received permission from Patiala House Courts Special Judge Shailendra Malik to travel abroad.
Jacqueline Fernandez received pre-arrest bail from the court on November 15.
Jacqueline had lately been named in the second additional charge sheet that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had filed. The court had given her temporary protection from arrest on September 26.
As witnesses in the case, Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi, another well-known Bollywood actress, have recorded their statements. The ED previously attached Jacqueline’s assets and fixed deposits worth Rs 7.2 crore, classifying the actor’s gifts and properties as “proceeds” of crime.
An accused aide of Chandrashekhar who allegedly connected him to Bollywood actresses, Pinky Irani, was the subject of the ED’s first supplemental charge sheet, which was issued in February.
In the charge sheet, it was claimed that Pinky used to pick out pricey presents for Jacqueline and deliver them to her house after Chandrashekhar had completed the payments. The investigation agency has submitted the initial charge sheet in this case in December 2021.
Chandrashekhar reportedly spent almost Rs 20 crore on various Bollywood stars and models, according to official sources. Some people had turned down his offerings.
