Vakeel Saab, directed by Venu Sriram, is one of the most anticipated films in Telugu film industry this year. A lot is riding on the film as it marks Pawan Kalyan’s comeback in Tollywood after he quit acting and ventured into politics. For the past couple of days, rumours are doing the rounds that the makers are considering Lavanya Tripathi, Ileana D’Cruz and other heroines to play Pawan Kalyan’s pair in the film. However, the talks with these heroines didn’t materialise due to unknown reasons. But, the makers found a suitable actress for Pawan Kalyan in Shruti Haasan.
Shruti and Pawan Kalyan had earlier shared screen space with each other in two films namely, Gabbar Singh and Katamarayadu. With Vakeel Saab, this will be their third film together. Though her role in Vakeel Saab is only a cameo, the actress seems to have given a go-ahead. It is unclear when the shooting of his Vakeel Saab would resume. Pawan Kalyan has instructed the makers of Vakeel Saab to stop the film’s shooting due to the outbreak of coronavirus. Shruti is said to appear in a couple of scenes and a song in Vakeel Saab, according to reports.
