A few weeks back we had reported that Mega Powerstar Ram Charan and ace director SS Rajamouli’s industry hit, Magadheera’s remastered 4K version is on track for a re-release. We also reported that the film’s updated version will be in the theatres on March 27th on the eve of Ram Charan’s birthday.
True to our reports, this morning an official announcement came out that Magadheera’s 4K version will be out during Ram Charan’s birthday weekend on March 27th.Released in 2009, Magadheera shattered all the existing records and became the first Telugu film to collect more than Rs 60 crore share at the worldwide box office is well-known news. Magadheera’s success gave confidence to director SS Rajamouli to think bigger and do films like Baahubali. Co-starring Kajal Aggarwal as the female lead, MM Keeravaani composed soundtracks for this landmark film.
Geetha Arts owned by Allu Arvind produced Magadheera with whopping of Rs 40 crore budget. In the recent times, the production house re-released it’s 2008 film, Jalsa on the eve of Pawan Kalyan’s birthday is widely known. The film’s 4K projection version was screened in a record number of screens both in domestic circuits and overseas. Cashing in on the craze of Pawan Kalyan and director Trivikram, the film grossed more than Rs 3 crore.
