We are happy to share with you that the divisional level matches of Isha Gramotsavam will take place on September 10th at Delhi Public School, Nacharam.
Korra Lakshmi IAS, Director for SATS will be the chief guest for the day.
Isha Gramotsavam is a rural sports festival conducted by Isha Foundation since 2004. The main aim of the festival is to make sports a part of the daily life of villagers and thereby improve their health and wellbeing. It is unique in its concept as professional players are not allowed to compete, encouraging rural folks to embrace the joy of involvement and zest of playing sports.
This year, it is being conducted in five states across South India, with the finals being held in Coimbatore at the Isha Yoga Centre.The competitions are held at three levels – district, divisional and the finals.
The district matches recieved thunderous response with 227 Volleyball teams and 119 Throwall teams participating across 9 districts. Around 2700 players were part of Gramotsavam from Telangana.
