Viral Kohli clarifies the reports about his social media earnings in a recent tweet.
Virat Kohli, the leader of the Indian cricket team and husband of Bollywood star Anushka Sharma, is once more in the spotlight due to rumours regarding his social media profits that have since been disproved and addressed in a new Tweet.
Virat has a sizable following on all social media sites, both as a cricketer and as the spouse of a Bollywood celebrity. He is one of the most well-liked and followed Indian celebrities, with a massive following of 256 million on Instagram and 57.2 million on Twitter.
Now, on Friday, social media marketing company Hopper HQ published a study on Virat Kohli’s revenues from social media, which was afterwards extensively covered by various media portals. They claim that Virat makes a staggering sum of Rs 11.45 crore from each sponsored social media post he makes.
However, Virat Kohli has already provided a statement regarding the report after it gained traction. He refuted these accusations by posting on his Twitter account, which is now called X, saying, “While I am grateful and indebted to all that I have received in life, the story that has been making rounds about my social media profits is not real.
Imagine a star posting this; is he worried about paying more taxes or about being raided?, a Twitterati remarked on the post.
An additional person wrote, “Income tax ka chakkar Babu bhaiya.”
According to Hopper HQ’s study, Christiano Ronaldo is the richest Instagram celebrity, earning $3,234,000 (Rs. 26.8 crore) each post, followed by Lionel Messi, who makes $2,597,000 (Rs. 21 crore) every post. The only Indian celebrity to make the top 25 on the list was Virat.
