Is this reason behind Pooja’s item number?

Item songs and numbers are nothing new for Telugu Film Industry. Earlier, connected to the story line and plot some performers used to sing and dance for a song not involving the actors. As they became popular, several actresses like Jyothi Lakshmi, Jaya Malini, Halam became popular over the years and every Telugu Film needed to have atleast one song as an item number for sure.

The entry of Silk Smitha changed the trend and made even the heroines accept to shake their leg in special numbers looking at her’s and Disco Shanti’s popularity. In many films, heroines appearing in a special song made them and film even more popular and that trend died down slowly. But as action entertainers like Pokiri brought the trend back to make it even more popular for this generation. Few heroines like Kajal used these special songs to gain some more popularity and now, upcoming actress Pooja Hegde decided to do an item song in Rangasthalam.

We have heard previously that many actresses have accepted to do these special songs for huge pay checks. On Contrary, Pooja settled for half of her regular remuneration and a chance to work as the lead in Ram Charan and Koratala Siva film. Well, she gets a chance to shine in Sukumar’s film who is known for great item numbers and also a chance to act in a full fledged movie with Ram Charan. Isn’t this a perfect deal?
