Is this aspect going to be a demerit for Annaatthe aka Peddanna?

Kollywood Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film, Annaatthe has wrapped up its entire shooting formalities a few months back. Being directed by Siva, the makers have already announced that the film will be out on November 4th as a Diwali festival special.

As the film’s release date is nearing, the makers have unveiled Annaatthe’s first look teaser a couple of days back as the Dusshera festival special. The promotional video gives a hint that the film is going to be a regular template hero-centric rural drama. The teaser had an outdated presentation with so many unnecessary built-up shots. Except for Rajinikanth’s look as an aggressive person, the promo offers nothing new. In this new-age times and with the changed mindset of the audience, can a regular mass entertainer like Annaatthe able to impress the audience? Remains to be seen.

Being bankrolled by Sun Pictures banner, Annaatthe has Keerthy Suresh, Meena, Nayanthara, Kushboo, Jagapathi Babu among others in key roles. Imman D is the film’s music composer. Annaatthe will have a simultaneous release in Telugu as Peddanna. Asian Cinemas has bought the rights of Peddanna and will be releasing across twin Telugu states through various distribution channels.
