According to The Kerala Story, 32,000 women who had been brainwashed, converted, and sent on terror missions in Kerala have vanished.
Two people, the youth section of a major state party, and the controversy around the planned movie “The Kerala Story” have all made separate financial rewards promises to those who can corroborate the storyline and offer facts.
On May 5, the movie featuring Adah Sharma is set for release. It makes the claim that 32,000 women from Kerala have vanished after being brainwashed, converted, and dispatched on terror missions both inside and outside of India.
The Muslim Youth League, the second-largest member of the Congress-led UDF, and its leader, P.K. Firoz, pledged to provide Rs 1 crore if the makers of The Kerala Story could demonstrate that the plot was true.
The second declaration was made by K. Nazeer Hussain, a blogger. He said, “give Rs 10 lakh to anyone who can produce evidence that women were converted and forced to join the Islamic State”.
Actor-Lawyer Shukkur also announced, “Rs 11 lakh to anyone who will name the Kerala women who were converted, and then joined the Islamic State”.
The ruling CPI-M-led Left and the UDF asked that the movie not be screened as soon as the teaser for it was released. Saji Cherian, minister of culture in Kerala, remarked ‘The Kerala Story’ is screened, people should boycott it”.
In addition, he threatened legal action.
Sudipto Sen is the director of The Kerala Story. It follows the journey of four Keralan college women who joined the Islamic State.
Yogita Bihani, Siddhi Idnani, and Sonia Balani are also featured in the movie. Producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah is behind it.
