Reputed Tollywood production house Suresh Productions which is widely known for delivering family entertainers for the past few years has been banking on remakes. In the recent past, producer Suresh Babu produced remakes such as Drushyam 2 and Narappa with his brother cum star hero Venkatesh. Incidentally, both the films opted for a direct-to-OTT release.
A couple of months back an official announcement came out that Suresh Productions has acquired the Telugu remake rights of last year released Kollywood hit, Maanadu. Meanwhile, in today’s press interaction hero Naga Chaitanya revealed that his cousin cum Suresh Babu’s son Rana will be doing the lead role in Maanadu remake. As per the inside reports, Maanadu remake will also opt for a direct-to-OTT release.
But one common question circulating among moviegoers is why a reputed production house like Suresh Productions is tilting towards remakes and banking on the digital platforms for the release of the films. Is Suresh Babu playing a safe game? Is only known to him.
