The Ramayana trailer has sparked a debate on social media over Sai Pallavi’s portrayal of Sita.
While many praised the amazing visuals, Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi faced criticism from many viewers.
Critics feel Sita should have a much divine and graceful appearance and compared her with actresses who played the role in the past. Her look, costumes and expressions have become talking points.
However many fans have strongly supported her saying Sita is defined by qualities like kindness, sacrifice, courage and compassion rather than beauty alone.
They believe Sai Pallavi’s natural acting style makes her a perfect choice. Supporters also feel it is too early to judge her performance based only on the trailer for sure.
