Maverick director SS Rajamouli is going all out to promote his recently released pre-independence patriotic drama, RRR on the global stage. The star director is promoting the movie on a wide range and pinned hopes that the film will be in the Oscars 2023 list.
Earlier this year, Rajamouli attended Toronto International Film Festival in the USA and promoted RRR on a few reputed online web portals there. Later, during the release of RRR in Japan, Rajamouli along with the lead heroes NTR and Ram Charan landed in Japan and promoted the film on an aggressive note. After returning from Japan, Rajamouli went to the US to attend an event in Chicago.
Speaking at the event, Rajamouli revealed sensational news that he and his team father( noted writer Vijayendra Prasad) are already working on the sequel of RRR. Soon after Rajamouli revealed the news, moviegoers and fans are eagerly waiting for more updates on the second installment of RRR. But as a fact check, Rajamouli is currently busy giving the final touches to the script of his next with Superstar Mahesh Babu. If Rajamouli is planning a sequel to RRR, it might not happen anytime soon as he will take a minimum of two years to wrap up the shooting for Mahesh Babu’s film once it goes on the sets. Later, he has a couple of commitments with a few reputed Bollywood production houses.
On the other hand, a section of media and moviegoers who are well aware of Rajamouli’s promotional skills are expressing their views that RRR2 is a publicity stunt by Rajamouli to keep up the momentum among the audience and global filmmakers until the Oscars event is done.
