Ram Charan with Mani Ratnam?

India’s most creative and popular director, Mani Ratnam. He inspired a whole generation with his unique story telling and visual sense. The sensible director saw debacles recently in the form of Ravan and Kadali, but announced a comeback with OK Kanmani in Tamil and OK Bangaram in Telugu.He is now making a film with Aditi Rao Hydari and Karthi as leads, titled Kaatru Veliyidai. Telugu title yet to be announced. The shooting of the film is happening at a brisk pace and getting ready for Summer 2017 release. Karthi is also busy in the post production works of his Diwali release Kashmora.

The strong buzz is that Mani Ratnam, is planning to make a film with Ram Charan Tej after the completion of his film with Karthi. The film is said to be a stylish action entertainer. Interestingly, Ram Charan was supposed to play the lead in OK Bangaram, in Telugu while Dulquer Salmaan played the character in Tamil.Due to some reasons, the combination did not work out and now, the buzz is quite strong that after Sukumar’s movie, Ram Charan will be acting in the direction of the Legendary Filmmaker. Hope the combination materialises and we get to see a straight Telugu movie from Master after, Geetanjali.
