Rajnikanth’s latest movie “Jailer,” directed by Varun Doctor and Nelson of “Beast” fame, is set to hit cinemas on August 11th. The recently released trailer received a decent response from fans, but there are speculations that the film might be a freemake of the Hollywood movie “Nobody” based on its visuals.
“Jailer” follows the story of a retired person leading a peaceful family life until his family falls into trouble, leading to the revelation of the Superstar’s strong backstory. He then takes on the goons in his signature style, reminiscent of the iconic movie “Baasha.”
The similarities with “Nobody” are evident in the plot where a retired FBI assassin returns to action after facing a home invasion and the theft of his daughter’s teddy bear. “Jailer” seems to have added some comic elements to the narrative.
Nelson’s previous movies have often been influenced by Hollywood content, and “Jailer” might not be an exception. However, his unique comedy writing and trademark entertainment have always excited the audience.
