Is it theatrical or non-theatrical release for Drushyam 2?

It is already reported that the streaming rights for Venkatesh’s upcoming film, Drushyam 2 are bagged by noted OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar. Directed by Malayalam director Jeethu Joseph, the film is an official remake of Mohanlal’s Drishyam 2.

Meanwhile, for the past few months news has been circulating among the media circles is that Drushyam 2’s OTT release is kept on hold as the makers are keen on releasing the movie in the theatres first. Reportedly, Suresh Babu and his team are unhappy with the delay in the ticket prices in Andhra Pradesh, they have decided to go ahead with the earlier plan and opt for a digital release of Drushyam 2.

Co-starring Nadhiya, Naresh, Ester Anil, Kruthika among others in crucial roles, Drushyam 2 has its music composed by Anup Rubens. Disney Plus Hotstar is gearing up to announce the streaming date of Drushyam 2 soon, confirm sources.
