Crores of money is at stake when a star actor is involved in a project because that’s the kind of returns that producers expect, upon the release of the film, owing to the kind of craze and trust that an actor’s brand or image carries in the market. While there have been several instances where producers haven’t been able to get back their investments in a film, there have been more instances where they have been able to do that, irrespective of the result of the film, simply due to the image of an actor.
Pawan Kalyan is one such actor, who has barely delivered a non-profitable film in the last few years, with the exception of Agnyathavaasi, which was irredeemable. The actor has been attached to several films since he announced his comeback to films. He has had two releases in the last two years, but he hasn’t been completing two films that he okayed before anything else.
Pawan has been stowing Krish’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu for quite some time now, and the shooting came to an abrupt halt this year due to unknown reasons, and despite the investment of crores of rupees in the film, there’s no guarantee over whether or not the film will see the light of day, as sources say that Pawan is not happy with the final script.
On the other hand, there is director Harish Shankar’s Bhavadeeyudu Bhagath Singh, which everyone thought would finally go on floors this year, but it now seems unlikely to happen in the near future. This is because Pawan has announced several political tours in Andhra Pradesh, and will be busy for the next few months. With so much uncertainty surrounding the actor, everyone has begun to wonder whether all this confusion is taking place because of a lack of clarity for Pawan, or because of a lack of commitment from his side.
