Is Geetha Govindam a copy?

Vijay Devarakonda is coming up with some interesting films and he wants to maintain his image as the young star while experimenting within the commercial space. After Arjun Reddy, he decided to take up a complete romantic comedy with complete family entertainment values and not as intense and raw, as Arjun Reddy. His part in Mahanati, also earned him a good name and the actor wants, Geetha Govindam to work for him to cement his place.

But the recent poster released by the team describing him as a ‘Virgin’ became a reason for the movie to be named as a “copy” by a writer. Writer Niwas has put up a case in the chamber about the same saying that he wrote the story about the protagonist being a Virgin even at the age of 25 years, in this modern age.

His allegations have been dismissed by Parasuram and producers. They said the poster was released as part of the promotional campaign, considering Vijay Devarakonda’s image as Arjun Reddy and there is no connection to it, for their story. They are confident that the case will be dismissed in their favour as they did not plagiarise. Rashmika Mandanna is acting as lady lead and the movie is releasing in August. Already single composed by Gopi Sundar has become a huge hit.
