Aishwarya Rai Bachchan got cast in the legendary director, Mani Ratnam’s Magnum Opus Ponniyan Selvan. She participated in the shoot for foreign schedule as well. Few days ago, she and her husband Abhishek Bachchan, her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan, also her daughter Aaradhya were hospitalised as they tested positive for Covid-19. They will have to stay in isolation for 14-28 days post their recovery from the disease.
So, she cannot participate in work related activities for atleast two more months. While the team of Ponniyan Selvan wishes for a speedy recovery they are not sure about her joining the film as soon as they want her to. Hence, they have to either wait for her or replace her. Replacing her won’t cost more than waiting for her to join. As per the recent updates from the Chennai media circles, the team might go for replacement and will let her know, once she recovers fully from the disease, it seems.
