Inttelligent is one of those films that even makers were not hundred percent confident after watching the end product. They tried to show case some confidence prior to the release, but the movie ended up a colossal disappointment for the cast and crew. Those distributors who bought the movie could not recover even 20% of the total pre-release business amounts that they have paid for the distribution rights of the film.
The major blow has come to the producer of the film, C.Kalyan. He did earn profits with film Jai Simha, for Sankranthi. With Nandamuri Balakrishna has the lead, the movie made some good money for the festival as none of the movies released have been better than this one. But for this one, Tholi Prema became a huge obstacle. A source in the know revealed, “Producer lost a sum of 15 crores as he kept the distribution rights of several areas with him.”
The source further added, “VV Vinayak did call the producer to know how the movie is tracking and they still remain friends. But there is no truth in the news that he returned his remuneration. He took 10 crores for his work and if he will return any percentage of it, is yet to be k known.” The movie ended up as the biggest disaster in Sai Dharam Tej’s career, even bigger than his Rey and Thikka. The actor is trying to put all the recent disappointments behind and move ahead with his Karunakaran’s youthful romantic comedy.
