Industry Pins High Hopes On Peddi Release

The premiere shows for Peddi are scheduled on June 3rd. The Andhra Pradesh government has reportedly given permission for a special screening but only one show is likely, starting at 8 PM instead of multiple premieres.

The government has also approved ticket price hikes for 10 days. Single screen theatres can increase ticket prices by Rs.100, while multiplexes are allowed to add Rs.125 per ticket until June 13th.

Now attention has shifted to Telangana, where officials are yet to announce their decision on ticket hikes.

Due to earlier controversies over pricing, the government is expected to be careful before giving approval. Fans are waiting for clarity to plan celebrations.

Trade circles are hoping Peddi will improve box office performance, as recent Telugu films have struggled while dubbed films are doing better.
