Rishi Kapoor was admitted in Mumbai at Sir H.N Reliance Foundation Hospital on 29th April 2020, in the evening time. His family confirmed the news that he was having breathing issues as he is still battling cancer. Now, we got the horrible news that dream-boy, romantic lead of the ’80s and great character actor of 2010’s passed away. Amitabh Bachchan, his closest friend, and the co-star with whom Rishi acted in films like Ram Robert Rahim and many others, confirmed and shared this news on Twitter.
The family is shell-shocked to react. The nation just went through shocking news like losing Irrfan Khan to cancer and now, Rishi Kapoor, famously known as Chintu, son of Raj Kapoor and father of Ranbir Kapoor, also left us, due to cancer. He was known for his flamboyance and outspoken nature. He debuted with Bobby in the direction of his legendary father, Raj Kapoor in his teens and went on to become the most revered romantic lead on Indian screen with films like Karz. He never shied away from sharing the screen with his contemporaries and was a great admirer of Amitabh Bachchan. Indian Cinema lost a legend.
