Indian 2: TN police to summon Kamal Haasan and director Shankar for questioning

The crane crash accident that shook the Indian 2 team on February 19 made everyone gasp in horror. The accident claimed the lives of three people and left 12 people injured. Now, the latest update is that the Tamil Nadu police officers are planning to summon Kamal Haasan and director Shankar for inquiry. Reportedly, the police had booked Lyca Production for negligent conduct under sections 287 (Negligent conduct with respect to machinery), 337 (Causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), 338 (Causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), and 304A (Causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code.

While Kamal Haasan offered Rs 1 crore compensation to the deceased, Lyca Productions head Subaskaran announced Rs 2 crore as compensation to the family of dead and those who were injured at the accident. The production house also announced that they will take care of all the medical expenses. Director Shankar is yet to make any announcement. Reportedly, the police officers had filed an FIR against the crane operator. But, after the accident, the crane operator fled the place and is still missing.
