Fans were delighted when they got to know that Ram Charan would be working with director Shankar after wrapping up Rajamouli’s RRR. The pre-production work of the film has also begun, with Thaman scoring the music and Dil Raju producing the film.
The film is expected to begin shooting in August, but there are a lot of hurdles that the film has to cross before it can begin, because of the lawsuit that director Shankar is currently facing. Lyca Productions, who were producing Indian 2, filed a case against Shankar for moving on with Ram Charan’s project without completing Indian 2. Already, Rs. 180 Crores has been spent on Indian 2, whose shooting didn’t resume after the accident that happened on set.
The case in this issue is still going on, with Shankar not ready to comply with Lyca Productions’ terms and conditions. The Madra High Court has brought in a retired Supreme Court lawyer now, to resolve this issue. In case the issue gets resolved, then Shankar can move on with Ram Charan’s film without much hassle. However, if that’s not the case, then Ram Charan’s film might be in trouble. It is now to be seen what will happen.
