Indian 2 accident: Kamal Haasan wants Lyca Production to assure safety

Kamal Haasan and the rest of Indian 2team are shaken over the fact that they have lost three people in a freak crane accident that took place on the film sets last week. While the actor has announced a compensation of Rs 1 crore, producer Subhaskaran announced A monetary aid of Rs 2 crore. A week after the accident, Kamal Haasan has written a letter to Subhaskaran, head of Lyca Production, asking them the safety measures deployed on the sets of Indian 2 and the kid of insurance that the production house has taken ahead of the shooting.

In his letter, he wrote, “Any loss, cost damage, risk undergone on account of the production team failing to carry out what they ought to have carried out has to be compensated in full and at the earliest.” He has also asked the production to conduct an audit which will give the team some confidence to comeback. He also insisted that the production house should conduct safety tests before the film’s shooting so such accidents can be avoided in future. He further added that the medical expenses should be taken care of for those who have gotten injured in the accident.
