A recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam has once again created tension between India and Pakistan. Many stars from the film industry condemned the attack and stood in support of the victims.
Meanwhile people on social media began asking filmmakers not to work with Pakistani actors or crew.
Around the same time, rumors spread online claiming that Imanvi the lead actress in Prabhas and Hanu Raghavapudi’s upcoming film, was the daughter of a Pakistani army officer. Many demanded her removal from the film. The news went viral quickly.
Imanvi responded to the controversy by saying the rumors are completely false. She posted a statement saying she is a proud Indian-American and that her family has no connection to the Pakistani military.
Born in Los Angeles she speaks Hindi, Telugu, Gujarati, and English. She added that her goal is to spread love through art, not hate, and that she hopes to contribute positively to Indian cinema.
