Sruthi Hariharan says actors live in two worlds, the world of acting and their real life, and she has found a balance between the two for 15 years.
She was recently seen in the Tamil film The Verdict after 8 years. Sruthi feels OTT platforms have given women stronger roles, not just as pretty faces.
Being in her mid-30s she feels it’s important to show real women of her age on screen. The Verdict was shot in the US and Sruthi enjoyed focusing only on acting for a month, though she did feel some ‘mom guilt’ being away from her daughter.
She praised her co-stars Suhasini and Varalaxmi for their talent and strong presence. Sruthi says she isn’t a spontaneous actor and needs time to get into character.
Now, apart from acting, she wants to write and direct films. After her break, she’s excited to chase her dreams with full energy.
