Amala Paul is one of the few actresses who have been among the recognisable few leading ladies but haven’t reached the star status yet. She had been busy with multiple films and personal issues over the years but still somehow stardom has been elusive.
The actress talking about it said, “I don’t have such great opinion on stardom and I am here to be known as an actor rather than a star. Stardom doesn’t lasts long as today if you’re on the rise, tomorrow someone else. People might run after them but when they need a performer they will not look for stars.
I want to become someone like that, an actor – people respect at the same time expect berer films. I like Vijay Sethupathi a lot and would like model my career like him,” concluded the actress.
