Ileana D’Cruz, known for her roles in Telugu hits like “Pokiri” and “Jalsa,” recently talked about her latest film “Do Aur Do Pyaar,” which got mixed reviews. She opened up about her character and the challenges she faced during filming in latest.
Ileana mentioned that although she’s picky about projects, her recent career gap wasn’t planned. The COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020 when she was actively looking for good roles. She started filming “Do Aur Do Pyaar” in 2021 but had to pause due to her pregnancy. She said, “Sometimes, we just have to take a break when things aren’t in our control.”
She felt a strong connection with her character, Nora, in the movie. “Like Nora, I’m very sensitive. I crave deep love and affection. Being affectionate and trusting openly – I relate to that. Nora wants someone who can’t get enough of her,” she shared.
Taking criticism lightly, she said, “Some people love to judge others. They stereotype people without knowing them. When I hear such things, I just laugh it off.” She was quick to accept the role in “Do Aur Do Pyaar,” surprising even the director, Shirisha Guha Thakurta, who didn’t expect such a swift agreement for a character with shades of negativity.
