Ilaiyaraaja Takes Legal Action Again Over Unauthorized Song Use

Ilaiyaraaja has once again taken legal action against filmmakers for using his old songs without his permission.

In the past, the Manjummel Boys team had to pay a hefty amount as compensation for using one of his tracks without prior approval.

Similarly, Mythri Movie Makers faced legal trouble for using Ilaiyaraaja’s songs in Ajith’s Good Bad Ugly, which were later removed from the digital version after his complaint.

Now, Ilaiyaraaja has filed a fresh complaint against Mythri Movie Makers for using his popular song Karutha Machan in their recent film Dude starring Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju. The movie, released during Diwali is performing well.

However the production house has not yet responded to the latest complaint. The issue has once again sparked a discussion everywhere.
