Idli Kottu 6 Days Earnings

Idli Kottu, directed by and starring Dhanush, is his latest film. Released on October 1st as a Dasara treat, it is a love and emotional entertainer set in a rural backdrop. On the first day, the film received negative talk in both Tamil and Telugu, resulting in poor openings.

The Dasara holidays helped it stabilize slightly, giving better collections than day one. However, Monday saw a drop again.

Idli Kottu did Rs. 2 Cr theatrical business in Telugu states but needs Rs. 2.2 Cr share to break even. In 6 days, it earned Rs. 0.84 Cr share and Rs. 1.44 Cr gross. It still needs Rs. 1.36 Cr to reach break-even. With current trends, hitting break-even looks tough, though the film had some bright spots. The coming days will show if it can sustain.
