I was brought up like a boy

Pooja Hegde always seems to have a smile on her face without showing any stress. For an actress not letting stress affect her body is a huge key for success. It is not easy to show up everyday for shooting besides stars and professionals like Jr. NTR and Mahesh Babu. They can just produce energy on hearing action but it is not easy for a reluctant starter like her.

She answered how she manages stress, in a philosophical manner. She said, “I never expected this life to start with. I am not that girl who ran around the studios and modeling offices to get a chance. Luck was in my favour that I got noticed and that one chance encounter lead to this huge opportunity.”

She continued, “I was actually brought up as a boy by my parents. I used to cut my hair, wear pants and wonder what to become a doctor or an engineer. I became an actor and when I see, fellow actors I get inspired to work even harder and learn much more without fail, everyday. Especially from actors like Jr. NTR and Mahesh, you have so much to learn by just observing them. So, I don’t feel stress but take it all as a blessing.”
