I needed to go into the depths of mythology to play Jai : Jr. NTR

Jr. NTR is always high on energy but he seems to be quite excited by the movie, Jai Lava Kusa. The movie is scheduled for a release on 21st September. He is playing a triple role in the movie for the first time and he will be seen playing the character of three brothers Jai, Lava and Kusa. He met with the web media persons today to give interview about the movie and we got to know some interesting insights into Jai’s character.

Jr. NTR said, “I had my own references to play Lava and Kusa characters. If Kusa is more like Raja from Yamadonga. Lava is more calmer version of Abhiram from Nannaku Prematho. But for Jai, India not have any references, so I approached Ravana mythology for that. Why Ravana has become what he is? How he used to look? How he talks? I tried to understand all that my reading more into the mythology. So, we gave Jai’s character a bit Barritone, husky voice and then his looks will be scanning you like an X-ray trying to know what your intentions. On top of that, Bobby asked me to add stammer to it. This man had to be so powerful that he talks very less and when he tries to talk and stammers others should fear him even more! That’s what we tried and you have to say, how well we achieved it!”

Well, Jr. NTR also revealed that he did not want to take references from his Legendary Grand father’s performances of Ravana as that won’t give his own twist to the character. He said, “Subconsciously, I have him completely taking over my every inch of the body while performing but I should not try to just replicate him. Hence, I tried something new in this movie and hope, you all will love it!” The movie is produced by Nandamuri Kalyanram and Jr. NTR revealed that there is no producer tag in between them and just for movie sake one is acting as producer but they both took decisions after discussions. Raashi Khanna and Nivetha Thomas are acting as female leads in the movie. Devi Sri Prasad is coming the music for the people.
