Naga Babu, started out as an actor and then turned into a producer to encourage the different films that his brother Megastar Chiranjeevi wanted to make in 1980’s. He continued to produce films with Chiranjeevi and even acted in few. He never became the big successful actor like his elder brother, Chiru and younger brother, Pawan Kalyan. Still, as a successful producer he has a huge presence in the Industry. But with Orange, he lost lot of money and stayed away from production till Naa Peru Surya.
Naga Babu said, “I lost all my confidence after Orange debacle. Both my brothers helped me during the time to recover but I did not find courage to produce movies further. So, I stayed away doing shows like Jabardasth and acting, that kept me busy and even earned me money.” He shared that Allu Aravind and Allu Arjun wanted him to produce the movie, Naa Peru Surya. He said, “I hesitated, when they brought up the proposal, three years ago. I told them, I lost touch but they encouraged me to go for it.”
He continued, “As it is a biggie, Sridhar Lagadapati joined the production team and I became a presenter while, Bunny Vasu also came in as a producer. I might have not pulled it off without their support. This movie is tailor made for Bunny and hence, we wanted him to be at his best. But he gave us more than that and I was shocked seeing somethings, he pulled off in the movie.” The movie is releasing on 4th May and the producer-actor said that this will be a special one for Allu Arjun and him. He dismissed the updates that few channels are being banned by TFI as rumours.
