Ritu Varma rose to fame with her film, Pelli Choopulu. She did not choose many Telugu films, even though she is a Telugu actress. She got offers from Tamil Cinema, mainly, Gautham Vasudev Menon in a big film like Dhruva Natchitram, opposite Vikram. She talked about acting with Vikram in the film. She said, “Vikram sir, is a lovely co-star. He is comfortable with rehearsing the scene before takes and he gives you ample time to get your dialogue right.”
She went on to say, “I am happy that I got such a big opportunity early in my life. I am learning a lot from Vikram sir and I am so happy that I got an offer from Gautham sir. He has a great sense of writing female characters. I am having a gala time learning and playing this role. I am positive that this film will be my biggest break yet.”
She talked about her other Tamil film too. She said, “I am enjoying shooting for Kannum Kannum Kollai Adithal with Dulquer Salmaan. He is a through professional and I am privileged to be working with actors like Vikram and Dulquer at the same time. I am enjoying the atmosphere on the sets and slowly getting used to Tamil as well. I have no reservations from doing only one language films. I will soon do a Telugu film too.”
